Amazon has pushed its Star Trek Play Booster Box preorder down again, and this time it has reached a new record low. As of Oct. 5, the Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Play Booster Box is available to preorder for $165.61 at Amazon, down from its $209.70 list price. That works out to roughly 21% off, and it brings each of the 30 included Play Boosters to about $5.52 apiece.
The New Record Price
The price tracker camelcamelcamel confirmed the new low. This is more than $34 below the previous low we flagged in September. With this new record-low price, you’ll automatically pay the lowest Amazon price offered between ordering and its release on Nov. 13.
Sold and shipped by Amazon directly, the box also comes with the retailer’s preorder price guarantee. That means if Amazon drops the price again before Nov. 13, your order gets adjusted to the new lower amount without you having to cancel and reorder.
What Comes in the Box
The box draws from 60 years of Star Trek history, including special treatments across the franchise. Inside are 30 Star Trek set packs, each containing 14 cards.
Each pack includes seven commons, three uncommons, a wildcard of any rarity, a Traditional Foil, a rare or mythic rare, a land, and a non-foil double-sided token. Stardate cards can also replace a common in one out of every 25 boosters.
The Numbers Behind the Deal
The $165.61 price is a sizeable $44.09 saving against the $209.70 list price. The per-booster cost of about $5.52 is approximate.
The box contains 30 packs, so the math on that $5.52 figure is simple: 30 packs at roughly $5.52 each. Whether you’re buying for the Star Trek theme or the card count, the math holds up either way.
The Price Tracker Confirmation
The camelcamelcamel confirmation matters here. A claimed low price without a tracker is just a claim. The tracker confirms the price as a new low, which is the kind of evidence you want before committing to a preorder.
The Preorder Guarantee Details
The preorder price guarantee is worth noting. If Amazon drops the price again before Nov. 13, your order adjusts automatically. There’s no need to cancel and reorder — the system handles it.
That’s a fair promise to keep, and it removes the risk of locking in a higher price.
The Bottom Line
This is a genuine deal for anyone who wants a Star Trek-themed Magic booster box. The price is confirmed as a new low, the savings are real, and the preorder guarantee removes the risk of a mid-order price drop.
Whether you’re a Star Trek fan or a Magic player looking for a themed box, this is the cheapest way to get it before Nov. 13.

The Tracker’s Limits
The headline promises an all-time low, but the tracker only confirms this is a new low this time around. That’s a small distinction, but it matters for anyone tracking the price over time. The deal is real, the savings are real, and the Star Trek theme is real too. Save over $40. That’s the number that counts.
