Konami has pulled the trigger on its next Master Duel Forbidden/Limited List, and the changes are live as of October 6th, 13:00 JST. The update touches three cards with new restrictions, plus a fourth gets a step down, and the game’s Card Decoder mini-game is getting a bigger daily allowance.
The Three New Bans
Three cards are newly Forbidden:
- Dimension Shifter
- PSY-Framelord Omega
- Synchro Overtake
The Step Down
One card moves from Limited to Semi-Limited:
- The Fallen & The Virtuous
Two More Limited Cards
Two cards move straight into the Limited pile:
- Radiant Typhoon Vision
- Radiant Typhoon Eldam
Dismantle Points Window
The window for earning additional points runs from the moment the list takes effect until November 1st, 09:59 JST. Players who act fast can clear out unwanted copies and bank some value before the rules settle.
Card Decoder Returns
The Card Decoder mini-game is back from September 24th until October 3rd, 12:59 JST. The number of daily attempts has been increased from 3 to 4, and the total number of questions will be 9.
That is a small quality-of-life improvement for players chasing the game’s rewards through trivia.
What This Means for Players
The three Forbidden cards are gone from play. The step-down of The Fallen & The Virtuous is a notable shift, moving a card to Semi-Limited status.
The two Limited additions, along with the Semi-Limited move, tighten the field somewhat.
