Artwork from “Jointech of Passion”! [RUSH DUEL] has arrived, and it brings a whole fantasy world with it. The Yu-Gi-Oh! official site posted new card images from the set, and they are packed with characters named in Japanese with English translations attached. Here is what the pack shows.
Jointech Heroes Arrive
The main focus of the reveal is a trio of Jointech cards. There is Jointech Matchless Hero, Jointech Guardian, and Jointech Rejoin. Each carries the Jointech name.
Five Mad Rares Join the Hunt
Five Mad Rare cards round out the pack. They are Mad Rare Rappid, Mad Rare Amy, Mad Rare Vico, Mad Rare Maqui, and Mad Rare Chreia. The Mad Rare label puts these five in a separate category from the standard Jointech heroes.
Kokusetsu Brings Hollowed Grounds
The set also includes a series of cards tied to the Kokusetsu theme. That name translates to Hollowed Grounds. The cards are:
- Kokusetsu no Kishi, Knight of the Hollowed Grounds
- Fushaku no Suuhaisha, Worshiper of the Blightblaze
- Kokusetsu no Ansatsusha, Assassin of the Hollowed Grounds
- Fushaku no Narehate, What Little the Blightblaze Leaves Behind
The Fushaku cards add a layer of horror to the theme, with a blightblaze that consumes everything around it.
Alpha Count and Early Access Burn Drake
Two other cards round out the reveal. Alpha Count is a standalone card with a name that suggests it deals with numbers and power. Then there is Early Access Burn Drake.
System and Update Maintenance
The final cards are System Maintenance and Update Maintenance.
Other Cards Close Out the Pack
The reveal closes with a few extra cards that do not fit the main themes. Kyoukaiatari no Blast Gate is a Boundary-Crossing Blast Gate, Saintick Lumina is a familiar-themed card, and Grave Shadow rounds out the set.
Reading the Names
One of the fun parts of this reveal is the translation. The Kokusetsu cards are named in Japanese, and the English versions explain what each one means.
A World Built From Card Names
This set reads like a world built from card names. The Jointech heroes, the Mad Rares, the Hollowed Grounds knights and assassins — each card points to a character or a location, and the translations give them life. It is a small touch, but it makes the set feel bigger than a simple list of cards.
The Verdict on the Reveal
The reveal is a success on its own terms. It shows a rich fantasy world, it introduces new themes, and it gives collectors a clear look at what is coming. The translations add personality to the cards, turning abstract names into characters with stories behind them.
The artwork is striking, and the themes are compelling enough to draw attention.
Artwork from “Jointech of Passion”! [RUSH DUEL] is a promising look at what Yu-Gi-Oh! is building for the future.
