Amazon’s October Prime Day kicked off Wednesday, and the deals are already piling up. Prime Big Deal Days, also known as October Prime Day, runs Oct. 6 and 7, with competing sales at Target and Walmart also underway. Mashable has dug through hundreds of offers to find the best ones, and prices are dropping across headphones, Apple gear, Kindles, and Amazon devices.

The roundup covers dozens of deals, from $40 off Bose headphones to $500 off a top-end MacBook Pro. Here is what we found.

The Bose QuietComfort Deal

Mashable’s audio expert Bethany Allard says the Bose QuietComfort (2nd gen) are the best combination of comfort, noise cancellation, sound quality, and value. The headphones are now $319, down from $359, a $40 saving that makes them an even better value.

The deal is marked as a Mashable editor favorite, which means it made the cut for being genuinely worth it. If you have been holding out for a quiet commute, this is the moment to pull the trigger.

Headphones Under $100

The JBL Tune 730BT headphones are $59.95, down from $89.95, saving $30. The Beats Solo 4 wireless headphones are $99.95, down from $199.95, saving $100. The Beats Studio Pro are $149.95, down from $299.99, saving $150.04.

What This Sale Could Offset

Amazon raised the prices of nearly two dozen Kindles, Fire TV Sticks, Echo smart speakers, and eero routers this summer because of rising component costs. Seasonal sales like Prime Big Deal Days (and later Black Friday) could offset some of those markups.

The RAMageddon price hikes have been affecting the tech industry this year, and deals like these could offer some relief.

The Bottom Line

The sheer volume of discounts is the story here. There is a $40 headphone deal, a $70 earbud deal, a $70 AirPods Pro 3 deal, a $160 MacBook deal, and a $500 MacBook deal. If you have been waiting for a reason to upgrade, October Prime Day is giving you plenty of them.

The Mashable team has flagged its favorites, and the deals marked with a ✅ are the ones worth prioritizing. Deals marked with a strikethrough are no longer available but could return once the sale starts.

The sale is ongoing, and prices are dropping.
