Swiss watchmaker Tendence is teaming up with the anime One Piece to bring back two limited-edition timepieces that sold out at launch in 2018. Among them is a recreation of Nami’s famous Log Pose.
Only 500 watches are being made, so fans will need to act fast if they wish to add the limited-edition timepieces to their collections. Pre-orders are currently live on the Tendence Japan store, with shipping expected to begin when the reservation period ends on October 15.
The Two Watches Returning
Two watches make up the re-release, each drawing on a significant moment from the show. One is built around the navigational device Nami uses to chart a course through the Grand Line, which the text calls the Log Pose model. The other takes its design from Luffy’s grand adventure across the sea, known here as the East Blue Model.
The Log Pose watch features a compass dial that rotates with the wearer’s wrist and sways as if responding to a magnetic field. The clock face also carries the Straw Hats’ signature Jolly Roger and giant rose-gold numbers, while the silicone straps come in soft beige.
The East Blue counterpart takes a grander approach, placing a map beneath Luffy’s pirate ship’s wheel. Like the compass on Nami’s Log Pose watch, the ship wheel also moves with the wearer’s wrist.
What Each Watch Brings
This particular edition arrives in blue, its clock face fashioned to resemble a map. The straps are white, designed to set off the striking blue coloring of the watch.
Both watches share the same practical features:
- Water-resistant up to 50 meters, handling rain and everyday splashes
- Limited to 500 total units, split between two models
- Pre-orders live now on the Tendence Japan store
The red-colored section of the wheel on the East Blue model can be used to predict the wearer’s lucky direction for the day. If you follow it, maybe you’ll find your own Devil Fruit/One Piece, or just get hopelessly lost.
The Production Runs
Each watch costs ¥64,900, which roughly comes to $418. There are only 200 East Blue watches and 300 Log Pose models left, so securing one may be difficult.
Since the number of these items is strictly limited, they will not be available for long. Those who wish to acquire one would do well to act without delay.
