Charlie Sheen is coming back to series-regular television — and he’s bringing his actual dad along for the ride. TVLine reports that Sheen and his father, Martin Sheen, are set to star as father and son in Happy Jack, a new multi-camera comedy ordered at AMC.
The six-episode first season will film in front of a live studio audience at Warner Bros. Studios, where Sheen previously shot Two and a Half Men. Production begins in early 2027, with a premiere later that year.
Jack Chambers and His Daughters
The official logline describes Charlie Sheen’s character, Jack Chambers, as “a lifelong ne’er-do-well” and father of two grown daughters. Martin Sheen plays Jack’s own father, who “deserves more credit for how they turned out.”
The setup hinges on a new boyfriend. Jack’s daughter Sam comes home with a former investment banker turned van life guru — and that boyfriend happens to be Jack’s age. Jack must choose between continuing to look out for himself or taking “this last chance to be a real part of his daughters’ lives.”
Old Friends Behind the Camera
The series reunites Charlie Sheen with several Two and a Half Men veterans. Jim Patterson and Matt Ross will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Todd Christopher joins as an executive producer, alongside Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, who were EPs on Men. Jason Wang rounds out the producing team.
Six New Faces Join Icebreaker
Netflix’s Icebreaker has added six more series regulars to its cast:
- Gabriel Tierney (Rivals) as Aaron
- Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana) as Lola
- Peter Berry, a newcomer and professional athlete, as Robbie
- Chaneil Kular (Sex Education) as JJ
- Devin Craig (The Sex Lives of College Girls) as Henry
- Aidan Shaw (Heated Rivalry) as Russ
The college romance drama is based on the Hannah Grace novel of the same name. Daisy Jelley was previously cast as Anastasia “Stassie” Allen, and Connor Simos plays Nate Hawkins.
Big Tim Joins The Audacity
AMC’s The Audacity has added Tom Hollander (FEUD: Capote vs. The Swans) in a recurring role as Big Tim, a powerful tech billionaire and CEO of Cupertino. His carefully curated public persona hides an appetite for control and revenge.
Season 2 is currently in production and expected to premiere in 2027.
SNL UK Names Its Next Three Hosts
Saturday Night Live UK (which airs stateside on Peacock) has named its next three hosts:
- Danny Dyer (Rivals) on October 10, with musical guest Sasha Keable
- James Norton (House of the Dragon) on October 17, with musical guest the Streets
- Cynthia Erivo (Wicked) on October 24, with musical guest Blossoms

What This Actually Means
Happy Jack is a sitcom where a father and son play a father and son. That is the joke — and it is also the premise. Charlie Sheen has spent decades playing versions of himself on screen, and now he gets to share the stage with the man who raised him.

Whether it works depends on execution. The premise is strong. The talent is there. The question is whether the jokes land.
