The Smush Dice Set is an official accessory for Renegade Game Studios’ upcoming tabletop RPG. It is coming this November. The name comes from the Dungeon AI’s infamous “Smush” skill, which is a joke that fans will recognize immediately.
Finale Plans and the TV Order
Eight books of chaotic dungeon crawling and dark twists have brought Carl, Princess Donut, and their remaining allies to the final stretch of the story. Before the tale reaches its close, Dinniman must settle many matters: lingering questions, villains, and long-running character arcs.
Longtime readers find the wait for the finale particularly hard. Yet the series now extends far beyond its novels. Television and tabletop gaming have joined it, and the November releases stand as evidence of that growth.
Peacock has given a straight-to-series order to the live-action version of Dungeon Crawler Carl. Seth MacFarlane’s production company, Fuzzy Door, is among those behind the project, alongside Universal Global Television, which is also attached as a producer.
Dinniman is attached as a co-executive producer alongside Chris Yost, the writer of Thor: Ragnarok. Jeff Hays, known for his work as an audiobook narrator, has been confirmed to voice Princess Donut. A release date has not been set by Peacock.
RPG Line Expansion
The tabletop sector represents the second major growth area. The RPG remains a goal yet to be reached, but fans won’t have long to wait for it. Two large releases are due this November: the enormous Core Rulebook and the aptly absurd Smush, both of which are currently slated to arrive then.
A set of dice can be reserved now through Renegade at $25. Inside the box sits one d4, d6, d8, d9, d10, and d12, along with two d20s and a poker-chip-style d2. The seven standard dice come in full-color acrylic, while the d2 carries a pearlescent finish.
This collection comes packed within a durable, themed window box built for repeated use. Its design draws on the Dungeon AI’s notorious “Smush” skill, setting it apart as a distinct Dungeon Crawler Carl-exclusive set of RPG dice.
November Releases at a Glance
Along with the Smush Dice Set, the Core Rulebook Royal Court Edition is coming out in November. Its price sits at $65, and it runs over 300 pages, concentrating on Floors 3 through 5 of the World Dungeon.
Crawlers can be built from scratch by choosing among a variety of backgrounds, skills, races, and classes, or players can take on the roles of pre-made characters including Carl, Donut, and Katia. According to Renegade, the book holds enough content to last through over 24 sessions.
The rulebook touches on neighborhoods and quests, along with loot, mobs, spells, achievements, and saferooms. A limited-time pre-order comes with a PDF copy of the rulebook included without extra charge.
Unstoppable Adds a Solo Option
Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable is a separate $60 tabletop game built around John D. Clair’s Unstoppable system. It releases at the same time as the Core Rulebook and the dice set. The game is designed for solo play or two-player co-op.
While battling through groups of enemies and bosses alike, players craft their cards for each character. They can choose to play as either Carl or Princess Donut. The core game spans the first three World Dungeon floors, though only a select few experience gains persist across them.
Crowdfunding Behind the Projects
Both projects originated from Renegade’s enormous 2026 crowdfunding campaign. That campaign raised more than $13.29 million from 55,972 backers. That is a truly amazing figure given Dungeon Crawler Carl‘s humble roots.
Renegade has said it expects backer fulfillment to start in October, with retail releases for the RPG and Unstoppable scheduled for late November 2026. The Smush Dice Set forms part of a much bigger push for Dungeon Crawler Carl across tabletop.
