BNB Chain now hosts more than $1 billion in tokenized stocks and ETFs, according to a new report from Binance Research. The network has passed the milestone as the tokenized securities market expands.
The report, published on Tuesday, found that BNB Chain leads the field with 1.8 million addresses holding tokenized stocks. That accounts for 45% of the total market, per Binance Research.
The Players Holding Tokenized Stocks
BNB Chain’s portfolio includes Binance bStocks and Ondo Global Markets tokenized securities. Both sit on the BNB Chain network.
From $719 Million to $1 billion
Tokenized stocks and ETFs have grown more than fivefold since January. The market stood at $719 million back then, according to Token Terminal data.
At that point, Ethereum held about 48% of the market. Solana followed with 31%. BNB Chain had just 13%.
What Tokenized Securities Actually Are
Tokenized stocks and ETFs are digital certificates representing ownership of physical shares or funds. They live on blockchain networks and can be bought, sold and traded like any other crypto asset.
The technology has drawn attention from investors who want exposure to traditional markets without the friction of conventional brokerage.
The Network Comparison
| Network | January Share | Current Standing |
|---|---|---|
| Ethereum | ~48% | Leading in tokens |
| Solana | ~31% | Leading in tokens |
| BNB Chain | ~13% | Leading in tokens |
The table shows how far BNB Chain has climbed. The comparison is awkward, though, because all three networks were once tiny fractions of the market.
