Donald Trump’s memecoin $TRUMP is throwing another gala dinner for its top investors, and this time the company running the token is calling it “the most exclusive dinner in the world.” The event is set for November 22 at Trump National, the private club in Washington, D.C. Only the top 185 registered investors will be invited, with VIP status based on engagement in the token and locks on November 12. Three “legends” are advertised to join the president, though none have been named yet. It is the third such gathering. Previous dinners drew criticism from Democratic lawmakers as “brash corruption” that sells access to the White House.
The Coin’s Price Reaction
When the announcement was made, the coin’s price rose about 10% to $2.25 before falling back to its recent level. That is still a small fraction of the all-time high of around $74. Investors have lost billions since the coin launched ahead of Trump taking office again.
What Past Attendees Got
The club has confirmed: “No attendees will be granted a private meet & greet with the President.” Even so, past participants complained they didn’t get a chance to meet Trump even when he appeared. In April, Trump held a conference at Mar-a-Lago in Florida for memecoin holders featuring former boxer Mike Tyson. The first memecoin event was at Trump’s Washington-area golf club, where protesters — including congressional Democrats — gathered to accuse the president of corruption.
Top VIPs this time will receive gifts including a commemorative poster and “TRUMP fragrance.” The website’s current tally shows top investors each hold hundreds of thousands of coins.
The Failed Bill
Democratic lawmakers pushed for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act to limit senior officials’ digital asset ties. The bill failed to advance last month. Trump said he would consider conceding and placing his crypto holdings in a blind trust or selling them. The deal collapsed when the bill failed.
| Event | Location | Guests Named |
|---|---|---|
| Nov 22 dinner | Trump National, D.C. | 3 legends, unnamed |
| Apr conference | Mar-a-Lago, FL | Mike Tyson |
| First event | Trump golf club, D.C. area | Protesters |
What the Source Shows
- The dinner is the third in a series of gatherings tied to the memecoin
- The coin’s price rose about 10% to $2.25 on the announcement before falling back
- Investors have lost billions since the coin launched ahead of Trump taking office again
- The bill failed to advance last month, and the deal Trump offered collapsed with it
The pattern here is straightforward. The dinners continue despite the bill’s failure, and the legends remain unnamed.
The question lawmakers raise is whether this arrangement treats the White House as a product. The club insists no meet-and-greet will happen, but the dinner brings investors together at a private club where the president is present, and the gift list includes a fragrance. The bill failed, and with it the deal Trump offered. The dinners continue.
