Wardogs Sold Over 1 Million Copies at Launch and Is Now on Sale for $32.79

Wardogs sells over a million copies on Steam and drops to $32.79 at Fanatical. Here's why the discount matters.

Soldiers move toward a glowing zone beacon amid smoke and ruin in a military shooter battlefield.

Wardogs launched on Steam last week and sold over 1 million copies at once, then kept climbing the concurrent users list. Now the military shooter is on sale for $32.79 at Fanatical, down from its usual $39.99.

The game puts 100 players on a large map, split into three teams, fighting to hold a 2x2km Control Zone that moves around the map each match. The team with the most players inside the zone earns points, and the first team to reach 100 points wins. That simple setup has turned into a real draw.

How Wardogs Works

Each match starts with $10,000 per player, and every action earns cash. Reviving a squadmate, dropping friendlies into the zone, or holding the objective all add to your total. Weapons and vehicles cost money to add to your loadout, so you are constantly weighing cash against gear.

Publisher Team17 explains the system directly: “Every teamplay action you perform rewards cash, from reviving squadmates, transporting friendlies to the zone, or controlling the objective.” The game is PC-only and remains in early access, so it feels unfinished and will keep changing over time.

You can build fortifications to hold your ground, but the enemy can tear them down if they have enough firepower. That balance between building and destroying is central to how the game plays.

The Sale at Fanatical

The Wardogs discount is part of Fanatical’s September Savers sale. The sale also cuts other titles, including Pragmata, Resident Evil Requiem, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and The Blood of Dawnwalker.

Game Original Price Sale Price
Wardogs $39.99 $32.79

Why the Discount Matters

The discount is a fair deal for anyone who has not jumped in yet. At $39.99, the full price asks a lot for an early access title. At $32.79, it is a reasonable price to test the game without committing to the full asking price.

The million copies sold is impressive, and the concurrent user ranking shows real demand at launch. Wardogs has earned its place on that list, and the sale price keeps the barrier low. The game is still in early access, so it will keep changing and improving over time.

Here is what the sale covers:

  • Pragmata
  • Resident Evil Requiem
  • Onimusha: Way of the Sword
  • The Blood of Dawnwalker

Anyone with a Switch or Switch 2 can check Nintendo’s Customer Appreciation sale, which offers up to 30% off a wide range of games and accessories.
