Dillian Whyte says he is ready for a fight against Johnny Fisher, and he has promised to stop ‘The Romford Bull’ inside four rounds.
The Brixton heavyweight was at ringside as Fisher battled to a majority-decision victory over Belgium’s Michael Pirotton at The Copper Box on Saturday night. After the fight, Whyte told Sky Sports he is “well up” for the bout and that he will knock Fisher out.
“I knock Johnny Fisher out,” Whyte said. “It’s heavyweight boxing, anything can happen. I could get caught high on the head like I did last time out, but I’ll knock Johnny Fisher out.”
“I’ll be surprised if it goes past three or four rounds. I’m an ageing dog but I still have all of my teeth.”
Fisher’s Calling Out
Fisher has been calling out Whyte for a while, according to the challenger. The two men have traded words before, and now Fisher has made his desire for a fight official.

“No he can’t [keep having fights like that],” Nelson told Sky Sports. “I spoke to Dillian Whyte, who is kind of looking at being a potential opponent for Johnny Fisher. I think Dillian knows too much for him, regardless of what stage of his career he’s at.”
Nelson believes the matchup is too risky for Fisher. He urged caution before the fight is made.
“He’s strong, he’s rugged and he’s experienced,” Nelson said. “They need to think smartly, matchmaking him, if they want to get him to a British title attempt. I wouldn’t put him in with Dillian Whyte, because Dillian knows too much.”
Whyte’s Loss to Itauma
Whyte’s last fight came last August, when he lost to Moses Itauma. The defeat has followed him since, and he acknowledged it in his remarks.
“My last fight lasted a round so people could be thinking I’m washed up and finished now so let them run with that,” Whyte said.
But he dismissed the idea that the loss means he has faded. Instead, he framed the fight as a chance to prove himself again.
“I don’t mind being a stepping stone because you need a stepping stone to step somewhere else,” he said.

The fight would be a big deal for both men. For Whyte, it is a chance to get back in the ring after a loss. For Fisher, it is a chance to prove himself against a top-level opponent.
