Kyuramen brings Kyuramen Express, Bao Dumpling, and Aokō Matcha under one roof in NYC's Financial District.

A ramen chain that keeps expanding has brought together three separate ideas beneath one roof in New York’s Financial District. The Kyuramen Group’s first single location to carry more than one brand opened its doors on Thursday, joining a casual ramen spot with a dumpling house and a café serving frozen dessert.

This marks the first time they have come together as a fast-casual outlet.

Kyuramen Express Takes the Lead

The core of the new spot is Kyuramen Express, which marks the chain’s first foray into a fast-casual setup after years of serving full-service dining. The menu sticks to the usual ramen lineup, while the format moves toward a quicker experience.

Bao Dumpling Adds Chinese Comfort Food

Kyuramen Group’s second idea is Bao Dumpling, which pairs the flavors of familiar Chinese takeout dishes with dumplings.

The company said its menu features classic rice bowls, bao, noodles, and shareable plates alongside the Signature Dumpling Bowls. Those bowls can come with Spicy King Pao Chicken Dumplings or Orange Beef Dumpling.

Aokō Matcha Rounds Out the Menu

Earlier this year, the group took over Aokō Matcha, which combines gelato and café elements. At the time, the intention was to expand Aokō Matcha into two directions: as a separate brand on its own, and also within Kyuramen restaurants.

The brand debuted in 2025, and its offerings include parfaits and soft-serve gelato where guests pick the grade of matcha for their own taste. Specialty lattes, Japanese tea, and matcha-infused desserts round out the menu.

Gary Lin’s Statement

Kyuramen’s founder and CEO Gary Lin spoke through a statement, “This is our first opportunity to bring several Kyuramen experiences together in one fast-casual setting. We wanted to create a space where guests can build the meal they want and enjoy Asian-inspired comfort food at one convenient location.”

Super Kyuramen Outside the City

The group runs two Super Kyuramen spots, located in Herndon, Virginia and Las Vegas. Both venues are presented as a deeper Japanese experience, complete with an izakaya-style menu that includes ramen.

Concept Role Location
Kyuramen Express Fast-casual ramen lead Financial District
Bao Dumpling Chinese-inspired dumplings Financial District
Aokō Matcha Gelato and café Financial District
Super Kyuramen Immersive izakaya Herndon, VA / Las Vegas

Kyuramen Group has taken a significant step by launching its first multi-brand location, which brings three separate concepts together under one roof. The company’s statement expresses a clear intent to offer guests a wider range of options during a single visit.

It’s not yet clear whether the pairing will attract enough guests to fill the room, but the concept has merit on its own.
